The waiting game
We've been busy this last month! Between trips to Springfield and Kansas City to complete the adoption paperwork, Seth and I have been busy planning the nursery and preparing our hearts for parenthood.
We FedExed our completed, notarized, authenticated and certified paperwork back to Taiwan so that the staff from the Home of God's Love can start the court process for us. Now we are back to the waiting part of the process again. This time it's a little easier because we know that we are on the home stretch and within the next couple of months will have Grace by our side.
Anna, one of Grace's caretakers, said that Grace is eating better but her appetite still isn't the best. Thank you for all your prayers for Grace.
We just checked our email and received this email from Anna:
"Good news! We got your papers today and our secretary took them to apply for a court date. I also called the AIT office and he said your immigration papers had just arrived today. The last few court dates have been 4-6 weeks from the time we applied. Hopefully Grace’s will be a little quicker. We will need your pictures before that time. Keep praying and be patient!! "
After reading this, Seth, Zoe and I all did the dance of joy and rejoiced together. It's getting closer, people!! We won't be able to go over there until a few weeks after that court date, but still... things have gone so quickly for us. We have so many reasons to be thankful...
